This fall, we teamed up with Jennifer Reed of Jennifer Designs for a special master class on large-scale floral installations at Longwood Gardens. Twenty students spent the day building full installations inside one of the most celebrated garden settings in the country.

Our Vine Maple, Nandina, and Snowberry brought movement and depth to every piece. Greens like these do the quiet work in a big installation. They fill space, soften edges, and give the flowers something to play against.

Jen paired a bold creative vision with a practical mission: give students hands-on time with a wide range of mechanics and materials, both sustainable and conventional.
She demonstrated foam and foam-free techniques side by side. She also worked with local, American, and imported flowers in the same designs. The goal was simple. Help designers make informed choices for their own businesses.
One idea stood out. Local flowers don't have to make up most of a design to make a difference. Every local or American stem supports farms, strengthens local economies, and contributes to healthier ecosystems.

A class like this takes a team. Sustainable mechanics were supplied by New Age Floral, and local florals came from the Philadelphia Flower Guild. Thank you, Jen, for the vision, and to every student who brought their curiosity and skill. We're proud to see our greens in such good hands. Thank you for growing with us
