Continental Floral Greens continued its long-standing support of the AIFD Symposium this year, contributing product through American Grown Flowers (AGF) for "Elevate," held July 2 to 5 in Orlando, Florida. This year's theme invited designers to reflect on who has inspired their growth and how that inspiration shows up in their work. CFG's product appeared throughout the event, including the Awards and Induction Ceremony, entrance display, and step-and-repeat photo wall, with installations designed by Chris Collum-Williams AIFD and Tom Collum-Williams built entirely from American-grown product.

What Is AIFD?
Founded in 1965, AIFD is the floral industry's leading nonprofit dedicated to advancing floral design as a professional art form. Its accredited members have designed flowers for events including the Tournament of Roses Parade, the Academy Awards, and Presidential Inaugurations. Each year, the Symposium brings designers, educators, and students together for education, competition, and recognition in the field.

Why It Matters
Most cut flowers sold in the U.S. today are imported. American Grown Flowers works to change that, promoting domestic flowers, advocating for farmers, and building market share for growers here at home. This year, AIFD recognized American Grown Flowers with its Award of Merit – Industry, honoring organizations whose work has made a lasting impact on the floral community. Supporting the Symposium through American Grown put that message, and CFG's product, in front of some of the industry's most respected designers.
