“Changing the industry with great product and great people.” — Jim Milgard
Last October, Continental Floral Greens turned 10—and as we reach the halfway point of our milestone year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on where we started, what we’ve built, and the people who made it all possible.
🌲 From a Dream to a Movement
When Jim Milgard purchased our first farm, Mt. St. Helens Noble Farms, back in 2009, the vision was simple: to grow noble firs alongside friends and build something meaningful from the ground up. That dream has since blossomed into a nationwide operation—an industry leader in premium greenery and floral products.
But our story has never been just about growth. It’s about people. The right people, in the right roles, working with heart. Today, more than 30 team members who started this journey with us remain part of the CFG family. Their loyalty and craftsmanship are the roots of everything we do.
We’re proud to celebrate them—and every employee, partner, and customer who has helped us flourish over the past decade.
🏔️ Mount St. Helens: Our First Farm, Our Forever Foundation
In the lush Pacific Northwest, tucked between the mountains and the coast, lies the land where our journey began. Our Mount St. Helens property was the first farm we purchased—and it quickly became the cornerstone of our company.
But its history runs even deeper. After the devastating 1980 eruption, Weyerhaeuser replanted the region with over 18 million seedlings, transforming volcanic soil into fertile ground. Little did anyone know that this terrain would produce one of the most exquisite noble firs in the world.
We named it High Mountain Blue Noble®—a silver-blue, high-elevation fir known for its unmatched color, needle retention, and durability. To this day, we remain the only producers and distributors of this rare product, grown between 3,000–5,000 feet in carefully stewarded forests.
Today, our Mount St. Helens farm remains the heartbeat of our sustainability efforts. Every harvest is a commitment to regenerative forestry and long-term environmental health. This isn’t just a farm—it’s our history, our innovation, and our legacy.
💚 Built by People, Powered by Passion
To every team member past and present: thank you. From the fields and forests to the warehouse floors and office desks, you’ve made Continental Floral Greens what it is today.
As VP of Northwest Operations, FJ Trzuskowski, puts it:
“It’s been a wonderful 10 years of growing—and growing.”
And in the words of our founder:
“Our team is passionate about our mission and deeply connected to the innovation that Mother Nature inspires. We don’t just sell products; we sell happiness and beauty.”
Here’s to the next decade—of bold ideas, sustainable growth, and continued joy through flowers and foliage.
Thank you for making Continental Floral Greens part of your lives. We can’t wait to keep growing—with you.
With gratitude,
The CFG Team
